Micah Richards joins Fiorentina

Manchester City defender Micah Richards had agreed to join Serie A side Fiorentina on a season-long loan.

The England international has been linked with a switch away from the Etihad this summer, with manager Manuel Pellegrini not considering him as part of the club's plans for the season.

With the arrival of Bacary Sagna to the club on a free transfer, it was imminent that the talented right-back would leave the Mancunian giants this summer.

Reports suggest that Richards has joined La Viola on a £3.6m loan fee, which could rise to £4.7m, should the club opt to sign him permanently.
