Welbeck on the verge of Arsenal deal?

Manchester United forward Danny Welbeck is rumoured to be inching closer to a move to Premier League rivals Arsenal.

According to the latest reports on ITV, the English international has been spotted at the Gunners’ training ground a little while back, as the 23-year-old is pushing for a deal with the Emirates Stadium outfit.

The young player has been speculated with a move away from Old Trafford all summer after newly-appointed manager Louis van Gaal asked the footballer to look for a new club.

Tottenham Hotspur were leading the race to bring Welbeck to White Hart Lane but now it looks like he is more interested to join the red side of North London.

With Olivier Giroud out until the new year due to an ankle injury, Arsene Wenger has been looking to sign a replacement for the French international, and the Red Devils’ winger, who is a product of United’s youth academy and has 90 first team appearances to his name, seems like an ideal choice.
