Ignasi Miquel completes Norwich City transfer

Arsenal defender Ignasi Miquel has completed his switch to Championship outfit Norwich City on transfer deadline day.

The young centre-back had been on the fringes of the Gunners' first-team in recent seasons, and never seemed to have the capability to rise to the occasion.

Reports claim that the Spaniard, who joined the Gunners' youth setup in 2009, has agreed to join the Canaries in a deal costing £1.5m.

Miquel revealed his delight at joining the Championship outfit, he said : "It's brilliant for me to come here and I want to try and get in the team as soon as I can to help Norwich get back to the Premier League."

The 21-year-old made 14 appearances for Arsenal during his stay.
