Arsenal want Barca starlet

Arsenal are reportedly readying a January move for Barcelona youngster Sergi Samper, according to The Metro.

The 19-year-old hails from Barca's famous La Masia academy, and is regarded as a player with huge potential.

Samper is yet to feature for the first-team, and has spent his career to date with Barcelona B.

The Metro claims that Gunners manager Arsene Wenger is a huge fan of the Spanish youngster, and will make a bid in the region of £10m for his services when the transfer window reopens in January.

Samper signed a four-year deal with the Catalan giants last year.
