Arsenal plot move for Lassana Diarra

Arsenal are apparently preparing a move for former player Lassana Diarra, according to a report.

The 29-year-old is currently looking for a new club following his release from Lokomotiv Moscow over the summer.

Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is aware of the club's lack of strength in the defensive midfield department, and could make a move for the former Real Madrid star.

Diarra made seven appearances for the Gunners during 2007/08 season.
