So'ton to offer new deal to Spurs and Arsenal target

Southampton are reportedly set to offer a new contract to French international Morgan Schneiderlin, according to The Mirror.

The talented midfielder had been constantly associated with a switch away from the Saints this summer, with the North London pairing of Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur interested in his services.

However, manager Ronald Koeman managed to convince his star asset into staying at the South Coast outfit for the season.

A report from The Mirror reports that Schneiderlin is happy with the club's progress, and is now open to discussing an improvement on his current contract of £30,000-a-week, which expires in the summer of 2017.
