Liverpool interested in former Gunner

Liverpool are understood to be keen on landing the signature of Cameroon international Alex Song from Barcelona in the next transfer window.

The talented midfielder joined West Ham United from Barcelona on a season-long loan, and has since then been in top form for the Hammers in the Premier League.

According to The Metro, Barca will recall the former Arsenal man in January such that the Reds can sign him.

The report adds that the Merseysiders are willing to wait until next summer to sign the African star.

Liverpool are currently ninth in the Premier League table.
