Hammers defender rejects Arsenal approach for Liverpool transfer

West Ham United defender Winston Reid has apparently rejected an enquiry from Arsenal as he favours a move to Liverpool in the next transfer window.

Recent reports had revealed that the New Zealand would be sold in January, given he is in the last year of his contract at the Hammers.

According to The Metro, the Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is believed to be a huge fan of Reid, but the talented centre-back prefers a switch to the Reds.

It is also understood that the Merseysiders would pay a fee in the region of £15m to seal a deal for the 26-year-old during the winter transfer window.
