Arsenal target open to January departure

Arsenal could reportedly get their hands on one of the their long-term targets in the next transfer window.

Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson is believed to have decided to part ways with the club following the failure to play in his preferred position since the start of the season.

It is understood that the Uruguayan international is unhappy at being forced to play out wide at the wing by manager Laurent Blanc, in order to accommodate Zlatan Ibrahimovic for the striker's role.

According to The Express, Arsenal will prepare a club-record bid to land the signature of the former Napoli star.

However, they will have to fight off interest from Liverpool, who are also interested in the 27-year-old.

Cavani has scored four goals in eight games for Les Parisiens this season.
