Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo has been ruled out for six weeks due to shoulder injury

Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is all set to miss the Red Devils clash against Arsenal later this month, after the Argentine international was side lined for six weeks due to an injury.

The 24-year-old, who joined the Old Trafford outfit from Portuguese club Sporting Lisbon in summer this year, dislocated his left shoulder during his side’s 1-0 loss against Manchester City on Sunday and had to be stretchered off the pitch.

It was initially feared that the player would require a surgery for the same, but following an appointment with a specialist, it was confirmed that Rojo could be back in action in less than a month and a half, news that delighted manager Louis van Gaal, who will already be without the services of Radamel Falcao, Jonny Evans and Phil Jones for the weekends trip to Crystal Palace.

“We don't need to operate on him, which is a relief”, the Dutch manager was quoted as saying by ITV.

“But with this injury it is very difficult that it shall not happen again. And that is the problem.

“Conservatively, it can be less than six weeks. If we have to operate, 12 weeks”, the 63-year-old further added.
