Chelsea to seal deal for Inter star?

Chelsea could make a January offer for Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi, according to a report.

The Argentine has notched up an impressive tally of 16 goals in 33 goals for the Nerazzurri since his switch from Sampdoria last season.

According to The Express, new Inter boss Roberto Mancini does not regard Icardi highly, and this could tempt the talented striker into making a switch away from the San Siro in the New Year.

In addition to this, Chelsea are rumoured to be readying a bid of  around £28m in order to land the player's services in January.

Liverpool are also monitoring the proceedings.
