Chelsea target Mauro Icardi

Chelsea are reportedly keen on signing Inter Milan striker Mauro Icardi in the winter transfer window, according to The Express.

The 21-year-old has been in good form for the Nerazurri this season, and has already notched up an impressive tally of 11 goals in all competitions.

According to The Express, Blues boss Jose Mourinho wants to add an extra striker to his attack front in the New Year.

The report adds that the West London outfit are lining up a bid in the region of £28m in order to seal the Argentine's signature.

Liverpool are also reckoned to be monitoring the proceedings.
