Liverpool to re-sign Alvaro Arbeloa

Liverpool could make a January offer to sign former defender Alberto Arbeloa, The Express reports.

The Spain international left the Reds for Real Madrid in the summer of 2009, and has since then played a crucial role in the club's progress.

However, The Express claims that Arbeloa is not happy being a bit-part player for Los Blancos this season, and will consider a move elsewhere during the winter transfer window.

The report adds that the Reds are front-runners to re-sign the 31-year-old with Arsenal and Chelsea also monitoring the proceedings.
