Liverpool, Chelsea scout Danish international Daniel Wass
Versatile Danish international Daniel Wass has been tracked by both Chelsea and Liverpool for over two months, according to reports from Scandinavia. The Premier League clubs have sent scouts to watch the Evian player in action several times and are weighing up a bid for the 25-year-old.
Wass, who is comfortable playing anywhere in midfield or at right or left back, joined Ligue 1 side Evian from Benfica back in 2012. Since then he has gone on to impress and earn his first call up to Denmark's national team.
The 5 foot 11 player is available for a fee of around 6.7 million euros and Liverpool are hopeful that a deal can be agreed before the January transfer window closes. If no agreement is forced through before tomorrow, Liverpool are confident that Wass will move to England during the summer.
Meanwhile, Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has also instructed his chief scout to prepare a dossier on the Danish international.
Wass has been exceptional for his club this season having already scored 8 league goals.
