Theo Walcott set for new Arsenal deal

Arsenal are to offer Theo Walcott a new contract and the speedy winger will pen a brand new five year contract. The England international has just recovered from injury and is expected to be an important member of the Gunners' squad for the remainder of the campaign.

Walcott, who only signed a new deal at the club two years ago, wants a new deal that will make him one of the highest paid players at the club. Arsene Wenger will sit down with the the 25-year-old and his agent next week.

The striker is happy at the Gunners and amazingly the player will head into his 10th season at the club next campaign thus entitling him to a testimonial.

The Gunners will offer Walcott a deal worth a reported 165,000 GBP a week at the Emirates.
