Stoke City close in on £6m deal for Aaron Lennon

Stoke City are edging closer to the signing of England winger Aaron Lennon from Tottenham Hotspur.

The England international is expected to leave Spurs in the current transfer window, with a whole host of clubs interested in his services.

According to The Mirror, Stoke boss Mark Hughes is believed to have agreed terms with the former Leeds man, and the £6m move to the Britannia Stadium is likely to be finalized before tonight's 11pm deadline.

Lennon has started just three league games for the North London outfit this season.
