O'Neill wants Gudjohnsen
Aston Villa are weighing up a move for Icelandic international Eidur Gudjohnsen. The striker is reportedly unhappy at Barcelona and is keen to make a move back to the Premiership, with Villa, Blackburn and Everton among his potential suitors.
The 29-year-old has made it clear he wants to leave the Nou Camp after finding his chances limited under Frank Rijkaard so a move to Villa Park would suit both parties.
Barcelona are willing to listen to offers of around £6million for the Iceland international, although his reported £70,000-a-week wages could prove a major stumbling block.
Gudjohnsen could have joined West Ham last summer but a move failed to materialise.
