Arsenal keen on signing Alessio Romagnoli

Arsenal are reportedly interested in a summer move for Roma defender Alessio Romagnoli.

The 20-year-old is currently plying his trade on loan at high-flying Sampdoria, where he has been a regular in the first-team setup this season.

According to La Repubblica, the talented defender has caught the eye of Gunners boss Arsene Wenger, who is keen on signing a replacement for Per Mertesacker in the summer transfer window.

The Italian Under-21 international has made 19 appearances for Sampdoria this season.
