However, recent league defeats to Manchester United and Arsenal, may have ended the club's chances of attaining Champions League football next season.

Henderson has yet to sign a contract extension at the Reds, and The Mail reports that City will look to lure the England international this summer, with the prospect of playing in the Champions League during the next campaign.
