West Ham plan bid for Etienne Capoue

West Ham could make a transfer bid for Tottenham midfielder Etienne Capoue at the end of the current campaign. Capoue has struggled to push for regular first team action since his arrival at White Hart Lane.

The talented defensive midfielder has so far found first team opportunity limited under Mauricio Pochettino at Spurs and is now considering a move elsewhere. With West Ham unable to agree a permanent deal for Barcelona star Alex Song, the Hammers have diverted their interest in a defensive midfielder elsewhere. It is understood the Hammers could snap up Capoue at a cut price fee and that the player will move to Upton Park during the summer months.
