Man Utd to rival Liverpool in Ings chase

Manchester United are set to offer stiff competition to Liverpool in the race to sign Burnley star Danny Ings during the summer transfer window.

The former England Under-21 international has been one of the stand-out performers for the Clarets in what has been a dismal return to the top-flight for them.

According to The Telegraph, the Red Devils are set to battle it out with the Reds for the player's signature at the end of the season.

Burnley would expect a compensation fee of at least £5m, should Ings exit at the expiry of his contract in this summer.
