Man Utd fail in Sterling approach

Liverpool are believed to have rejected an enquiry from Manchester United for star winger Raheem Sterling.
The England international is keen on a move away from Merseyside, with likes of Bayern Munich, Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United rumoured to be interested in his services.
The Telegraph cites that the Reds have knocked back an approach from the Red Devils, whose manager Louis van Gaal is understood to be keen on strengthening the midfield options in the summer.
It is also understood that the Reds will stick with the player beyond the summer, and will rebuff any offers that come by.
