Aston Villa show interest in Micah Richards

Aston Villa have become the latest club to be interested in signing up Manchester City defender Micah Richards.

The England international joined Italian side Fiorentina on a season-long loan last summer, and has since then made just 19 appearances.

Richards is expected to be offloaded on his return to City this summer, with Manuel Pellegrini keen to recoup funds for new recruits.

The Star claims that the Villans have joined the likes of Liverpool, West Ham United, and Newcastle United in the chase for the player's services.
