West Ham, Tottenham battle for Ali Al Habsi
Free agent goalkeeper Ali Al Habsi is wanted by both West Ham United and Tottenham Hotspur. The Omani international keeper is currently available for no fee having been released by former club Wigan Athletic.
Last season, in the Championship, Al Habsi only managed to play 14 league games as he slipped down the pecking order to number two in between the sticks for the Latics.
Now the goalkeeper is said to be looking for a new club in the Premier League and that there are no shortage of suitors for the agile 33-year-old.
Tottenham manager Mauricio Pochettino is considering a transfer whilst West Ham directors are also interested in making Al Habsi their number two for the upcoming season.
