STAR STRIKER open to Liverpool move

Liverpool are closing in on one of South America's finest strikers, according to reports.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho had earlier claimed that he would be keen on signing up Radamel Falcao in the summer, in spite of his poor loan spell at Manchester United last season.

Reports in France cite that the Colombian international is keen on a move to Anfield, as he feels he will have more chances of featuring in the first-team at the Merseyside outfit.

United had the option of signing the Monaco striker on a permanent basis for £40m this summer, but opted against the deal.
