Sunderland eye move for Stewart Downing

Sunderland will reportedly launch a summer offer for West Ham United winger Stewart Downing this week.
The England international was in good form for the Hammers last season, as they finished 12th in the league standings.
Widespread reports reveal that Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat is keen on bolstering his squad in the attacking department before the start of the next season.
It is added that the Dutchman has identified the former Liverpool midfielder, as his top target, and is hoping that the Hammers would sell him as they prepare a new era under Slaven Bilic.
