Liverpool to sign Roberto Firmino

Liverpool are expected to announce the signing of Hoffenheim star Roberto Firmino in the next 24 hours, according to reports.

The Brazilian international has been heavily tipped to make a switch to the Premier League, with the likes of Liverpool, Chelsea and Manchester United keen on his services.

The Reds are believed to have held talks with the young forward recently, and Sky Sports now confirms that a deal has been agreed with Hoffenheim to snap up the player's services.

It is added that the player will seal his switch to Liverpool in a days' time, in spite of being in Copa America duty.

A fee of around £28m has been agreed for the transfer.
