West Bromwich Albion to swoop for Demba Ba

West Bromwich Albion are eager to sign former Newcastle United and Chelsea striker Demba Ba.

The Senegalese international has been linked with a switch to Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua for a reported fee of around £10m.

However, Ba is thought to be keen on a switch back to the English top tier, where he made a huge impression with the Magpies.

According to Birmingham Mail, Baggies are open to making Ba their highest paid player.Ba is expected to demand a wage structure of £70,000-per-week in order to seal the transfer.
