Fiorentina make bid for Mohamed Salah

Fiorentina have tabled an official bid for Chelsea winger Mohamed Salah. The Middle Eastern star looks set to complete a permanent transfer to the Serie A giants.

Salah spent last season playing on loan for the Viola and impressed many; there were even suggestions that Chelsea would consider recalling the rapid winger.

Fiorentina club director Vincenzo Guerini confirmed that a bid had been made for Salah: “I tell the fans that the club made an insane offer to Salah.

“If any player, not just Salah, turned down a proposal like that, then it’s best he doesn’t stay at Fiorentina. However, I think Salah will accept.

“He made a huge impact with us, so it’s normal that he should receive calls from elsewhere. He wants to earn more, but Fiorentina made a truly important proposal.”
