Southampton boss confident of Alderweireld deal

Southampton manager Ronald Koeman is believed to be confident of keeping Toby Alderweireld at St.Mary's beyond the summer.

The Belgian international spent last season on loan at the Saints from Atletico Madrid.

However, recent reports Tottenham Hotspur could beat the Saints to a permanent deal for the central defender.

Reports in Spain cite that Koeman is confident that the former Ajax star will remain at South Coast beyond the summer.
