Newcastle dismiss Balotelli link

Newcastle United will not make a move for Liverpool flop Mario Balotelli this summer.

It had been earlier reported that the Magpies may swoop for the Italian international, who is keen to ply his trade in the English top tier next season.

However, the Tyneside outfit have played down suggestions by insisting that they are not in the race to sign up the former Manchester City star.

Balotelli is expected to be offloaded this summer following a dismal league campaign with the Reds last season.
