Tottenham Hotspur ready bid for James McCarthy

Tottenham Hotspur will reportedly make a £20m offer to sign Everton midfielder James McCarthy this summer.

McCarthy has been a constant performer for the Toffees since his move from Wigan Athletic in 2013, but the lack of progress could tempt him into a switch away from the Merseyside.

According to The Mirror, Spurs are willing to make a £20m for the Republic of Ireland international, but the Toffees are not looking to sell.

It is added that Spurs are open to offering Aaron Lennon, who was on loan at Everton last season, as part of a player-plus-cash deal.
