Aston Villa boss desperate to sign Andros Townsend

Aston Villa manager Tim Sherwood is keen on signing up Tottenham Hotpur winger Andros Townsend during this summer's transfer window.

The England international is believed to have had a good relationship with Sherwood during their time at White Hart Lane.

According to The Mirror, Sherwood considers Townsend as the perfect fit to fill his jigsaw puzzle, and is eager to land his services this summer.

The £15m-rated striker has recently stated his desire to fight for his place at White Hart Lane next season.
