Aston Villa in Adebayor talks

Aston Villa are in talks to sign Tottenham Hotspur striker Emmanuel Adebayor, according to widespread reports.

The Villains will look to bring in a new striker in the transfer window, with Christian Benteke all set to join Liverpool, following the Reds' decision to trigger the £32.5m release clause in the player's contract.

Numerous reports now claims that the West Midlands outfit are in negotiations with Spurs over a potential deal for Togo international Adebayor.

Adebayor has struggled to impress under Mauricio Pochettino and could well have a reunion with Tim Sherwood on a £5m transfer fee this summer.
