Sven hunts £8m Crouch

Man City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is considering making an £8 million swoop in the transfer window for unsettled Liverpool striker Peter Crouch. The former Tottenham and Villa hitman is unhappy with his lack of first-team opportunities.
However, Rafa Benitez has already insisted Crouch is not for sale: âWe are not thinking about selling any player because we will play in the FA Cup, Champions League and Premier League and we want to be close to the top of the table.
âYou donât know if you will have more injuries so you must try to keep the players that you have â we are happy with them.
âIf someone comes in and makes an offer of £40mil then maybe we need to consider it.
âBut the problem is when you sell a player you need to have another one if you want to keep your squad strong. "
However, it will not stop the Swedish manager making a move for the England striker at a cut price £8 million.
