Aston Villa keen on Diego Nolan

Aston Villa boss Tim Sherwood is eager to bring in Bordeaux star Diego Nolan as a replacement for Liverpool bound Christian Benteke.

Benteke is expected to seal his switch to the Reds, having undergone a successful medical at Merseyside.

Villa have been linked with a number of forwards this summer, but Sud Quest cites that Roland leads the list of targets.

The same reports adds that Bordeaux will demand a fee in the region of £14m for the Uruguayan international.

Tim Sherwood's side are also in talks with Tottenham Hotspur over a season-long loan for Emmanuel Adebayor.
