Chelsea winger closing in on Roma switch

Chelsea flop Mohamed Salah is edging towards towards a summer move to Italian giants AS Roma.

The Egyptian international has struggled to cement a place in the first-team at Stamford Bridge since his move from Basel in January 2014.

Recent reports have claimed that Blues boss Jose Mourinho may look to offload the talented winger, who was impressive during his temporary stint at Fiorentina in the second half of last season.

According to The Mirror, Roma have held talks with Salah's representative, and the deal could go through once a transfer sum is agreed between both clubs.

Salah scored nine goals in 26 outings for La Viola on loan last term.
