Chuba Akpom wants Arsenal chance
Arsenal striker Chuba Akpom is hopeful of making a meaningful impact at the club in the upcoming season.
The England Under-21 international has had loan spells at Brentford, Coventry City and Nottingham Forest in recent seasons, and is now keen to make his breakthrough in the Gunners first-team.
"I would rather stay here and compete with the other strikers," he told Evening Standard. "There is a lot of talent in the team but I think I am capable of competing and getting a place in the team."
Akpom scored a hat-trick during the Gunners' 4-1 win over Singapore Select XI in the Barclays Asia Trophy earlier this month.
