Sunderland line up Ola Toivonen bid

Sunderland are reportedly planning a summer swoop for Rennes midfielder Ola Toivonen.

Black Cats boss Dick Advocaat is thought to be keen on a reunion with the player, with whom he worked at PSV Eindhoven, The Mirror reports.

However, the Wearside outfit are likely to face competition from Premier League newcomers Bournemouth, who have been tracking the player's status in recent weeks.

Toivonen is currently rated at around £4m by his club.
