Tottenham Hotspur interested in Sven Bender

Tottenham Hotspur are plotting a summer move for Borussia Dortmund midfielder Sven Bender, The Mirror reports.

Spurs were thought to be keen on signing up Everton's James McCarthy as they aim to bolster their midfield options for the new season.

However, The Mirror cites that the North London side will now turn their attention to the 26-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal and Chelsea over the past year.

Bender joined the Dortmund giants from 1860 Munchen in 2009.
