Crystal Palace sign Connor Wickham

Crystal Palace have announced the arrival of striker Connor Wickham from Sunderland on a five-year deal.

Eagles boss Alan Pardew had confirmed during the weekend that the club were interested in signing up the 22-year-old striker before the start of the new season.

According to The Mirror, Palace have confirmed the player's signing for an undisclosed fee via their official twitter account.

Wickham scored just 11 league goals for the Black Cats since his move from Ipswich Town in 2011.
