Barcelona plan shock swoop for Riyad Mahrez

Leicester City winger Riyad Mahrez reportedly tops Barcelona's shortlist for the January transfer window.

The Catalans signed the likes of Aleix Vidal and Arda Turan this summer, but are not allowed to play them until their transfer embargo concluded in the New Year.

Algerian international Riyad Mahrez has had a sensational start to the new league campaign having scored four goals in as many games for the club.

According to The Mail, Barca have been alerted by Mahrez's form, and will be tracking the player's performances over the next few months.

Mahrez joined the Foxes from French side Le Havre in 2014.
