David de Gea calm over Man Utd future

Spain international David de Gea has admitted that he is content at returning to Manchester United after the transfer saga.

The 24-year-old was tipped to make a dream move to Real Madrid on deadline day, but the deal collapsed at the 11th hour due to late submission of paperwork.

United boss Louis van Gaal had earlier iterated that De Gea could play for the club should he remain beyond the transfer window.

De Gea has now told reporters that he is hopeful of making a start for United this season, as he is happy playing the beautiful game.

"My future will be the same as it is now - stay calm, keep working and improving. In short, enjoy football. I am happy." he told reporters.
