Chelsea plan Wanyama offer
Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho will reportedly look to beat local rivals Tottenham Hotspur to the services of Southampton midfielder Victor Wanyama.
The Kenyan international is thought to have placed a transfer request in the final days of the transfer window following reported interest from Tottenham Hotspur.
However, Saints boss Ronald Koeman rejected the plea as the club had insufficient time to find a suitable replacement.
The Star now understands that the talented enforcer will seek fresh pastures elsewhere when the transfer window reopens in January.
It is added that Blues manager Jose Mourinho is confident of hijacking Spurs' pursuit for the 24-year-old.
Wanyama joined the South Coast side from Celtic in 2013.
