Leroy Sane on Liverpool radar

Liverpool are looking at a potential swoop for Schalke 04 youngster Leroy Sane, according to reports.

The 19-year-old has attracted interest from Tottenham Hotspur over the past week, in spite of signing a new two-year deal in the summer.

Brendan Rodgers' side have had yet another dismal start to the Premier League, and it is thought that the club will look to spend more on attacking recruits in the New Year.

German sports daily Bild understands Rodgers has sent scouts to track the young attacker in recent weeks. It is added that the Merseyside are not deterred by the player's contract status, and will seek to make a tempting offer in the January transfer window.

Sane has scored seven goals in 27 appearances for his club.
