Arsenal to open Alexis Sanchez contract talks

Arsenal will reportedly offer a contract extension to star forward Alexis Sanchez.

The 26-year-old made a slow start to the season following his exploits with Chile over the summer.

However, the Chilean has striked form in recent weeks, and has notched an impressive tally of five goals in the league campaign.

According to ESPN, the North London giants are ready to make the former Barca star their highest paid player on a new improved contract.

It is added that Sanchez's representatives will have crunch talks with the FA Cup holders before the hectic festive schedule kicks off.

Sanchez's current deal at Arsenal expires in the summer of 2018.
