John Obi Mikel back on Besiktas radar
John Obi Mikel back on Besiktas radar
Besiktas will reportedly revive their interest in Chelsea midfielder John Obi Mikel in the winter transfer window.
The Nigerian international had been linked with a move to the Turkish side over the summer, but Blues boss Jose Mourinho was eager to keep the midfielder at Stamford Bridge as a back-up option.
Mikel has since then struggled for first-team action under Mourinho, and this has once again lit up speculation over his future.
According to Metro, Besiktas will launch a new offer for the midfield enforcer when the transfer window reopens in January.
The 28-year-old is currently in his tenth season at the Blues having joined them from Norwegian side Lyn in 2006.
