Karim Benzema never considered Arsenal move

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema has insisted that he had no intention to making a switch to Arsenal during the summer transfer window.

The France international was constantly linked with a move to the Emirates in the summer following speculation that manager Rafael Benitez wanted to play Gareth Bale in the centre-forward role.

However, Benzema opted to neglect interest from the Gunners, and is now a key component of Real's setup.

The 27-year-old has now iterated that he never thought of leaving Los Blancos in the first place.

He added that he is content leading the line for the 'best club' in the world, and all the transfer talks were made up by the media.

Benzema has notched seven goals for Real in all competitions this term.
