Man Utd approach for Riyad Mahrez

Manchester United have contacted the representatives of Leicester City attacker Riyad Mahrez over a potential January move.

The Algerian international has been in red hot form for the Foxes this term, and this has pushed them upto third in the league standings.

According to France Football, United have been impressed by Mahrez's show this season, and have made a tentative approach to his agent regarding a winter switch to Old Trafford.

However, Louis van Gaal's side will have stiff competition ahead with league rivals Arsenal and French giants Paris Saint-Germain also deemed to be interested in the player's services.

Mahrez has notched an impressive tally of five assists and seven goals in just 12 league appearances this campaign.
