Liverpool join Xhaka pursuit

Liverpool could reportedly go into a bidding war with Arsenal for Borussia Monchengladbach winger Granit Xhaka.

The Swiss international has been a prominent figure at the Bundesliga side following his switch from FC Basel in 2012.

German sports daily Bild claims that the Reds are interested in the talented winger, who is currently valued at around £19.7m.

It is added that the Reds may face a tough road ahead with league rivals Arsenal also keeping tabs on the 23-year-old.

Xhaka has earned 39 caps with Switzerland till date.
